Cassville R-IV School District

The School Resource Officer (SRO) program is a valuable partnership between the school district and the City of Cassville Police Department. Our SRO plays an important role in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for students and staff. The SRO works closely with the district’s safety team to ensure our campuses remain secure while promoting the overall well-being of our school community.

Beyond maintaining and improving safety, the SRO serves as a mentor, educator and resource for students. The SRO builds positive relationships through daily interactions and classroom involvement, including leading the sixth grade D.A.R.E. program, which encourages students to make healthy and responsible choices. In addition the SRO works closely with the CHS Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) program to encourage leadership and smart decision-making among teens.
