Cassville Senior Beta Members Attend National Convention

Members of Cassville High School's Senior Beta Club recently earned the opportunity to compete during the National Senior Beta Convention held June 16-20 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Senior Beta members Jack Chappell, Shelby Knoefler and Lyndsie VanDerhoef qualified for national competition after advancing through state competition earlier this year. VanDerhoef's artwork earned an impressive 10th-place national finish in the Sculpture Division, placing her among the top artists in the nation.
Chappell competed in the Pottery Division, while Knoefler represented Cassville in the Language Arts academic test. Fellow Senior Beta member Mason Rillstone also earned national recognition after placing among the top 20 nationally on the Health & Physical Education academic test. Although Rillstone qualified for national honors, he was unable to attend the convention to compete in person.
While in Nashville, Chappell and Knoefler participated in a variety of convention activities, including the National Beta College and Career Fair, viewing student competitions, attending the organization's general sessions and awards ceremonies, and connecting with Beta members from across the United States. They also enjoyed Beta Night at the Grand Ole Opry, one of the convention's signature events.
The National Beta Convention celebrates academic excellence, leadership, character, service and talent by bringing together thousands of outstanding students from across the country to compete, learn and build lifelong friendships.
Cassville Senior Beta congratulates Jack, Shelby, Mason and Lyndsie on their outstanding accomplishments and for representing Cassville High School with excellence at the National Senior Beta Convention.
