Making History: CHS Softball Claims Conference Championship

The Cassville High School Softball team has made history, earning the title of Big 8 Conference Champions for the first time in school history. With one non-conference game left to be played on Saturday, the Wildcats' record is currently 14-9. Districts will be played at home beginning October 15.
The Wildcats share the conference title with the McDonald County Mustangs. During regular season play, Cassville defeated the Mustangs at home 6–2. In their final conference matchup, McDonald County claimed the win 13–3, resulting in both teams being named co-conference champions.
“This team has worked extremely hard all year long and made this one of their goals before the season,” said CHS Head Softball Coach Jordan Savage. “They knew that they had a chance to make history and they showed up every day with the purpose to reach that goal. I am very proud of what they have accomplished and I am excited to see how far this team can continue to go. They are great kids and I am grateful for the opportunity to coach them.”
The wildcats are coached by Savage along with assistant coaches Simon Beeson and Shelley Henderson.
