Flehmer Named 2025 Southwest District Physical Education Teacher of the Year

The Cassville R-IV School District is pleased to announce that Cassville High School teacher, Erin Flehmer, has been selected as the 2025 Physical Education Teacher of the Year for the Southwest District by the Missouri Society of Health and Physical Educators (MOSHAPE).
“Coach Flehmer constantly looks for new ways to engage her PE classes in physical activity," said Mr. Tyler Willis, CHS Principal. “She has a high level of expectation for her students and consistently gets the most out of them.”
Flehmer teaches physical education at CHS. In addition to her time in the classroom, she coaches both high school cross country and track. She also serves as the club sponsor for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Pickleball Club. Flehmer began her teaching at Cassville in August of 2018.
The award winners are recognized for their outstanding contributions to health and physical education and are selected based on criteria that reflect a comprehensive and high-quality program that includes standards-based instruction, implementation of best teaching practices in health and physical education, the application of effective classroom assessment strategies, and active advocacy for the profession.
